GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE SALES

 

Before placing any order for Products on the website www.veja-store.com ("Vejastore"), we invite you to carefully read the entirety of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale ("GTCS").

1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION

 

1.1. These GTCS apply to all sales contracts concluded between VEJA FAIR TRADE SARL, whose registered office is located at 146 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75010 Paris (France), registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number B478328107, VAT number FR89478328107 ("VEJA"), and the user, considered as a consumer, as defined by the Consumer Code, i.e., any natural person acting for purposes that do not fall within the scope of their commercial, industrial, artisanal, liberal, or agricultural activity ("User", "you", "the customer") based on orders placed via Vejastore.

1.2. When you order products ("Products") on Vejastore, you unreservedly accept and agree to comply with the GTCS. If you do not accept the GTCS, you will not be able to place an order on Vejastore.

 

2. CONDITIONS FOR MAKING PURCHASES ON VEJASTORE

 

2.1. You may purchase products on Vejastore only if you are a user considered a final consumer. If you are a professional reseller or distributor, it is not possible to make purchases via Vejastore.
To ensure a better quality of service and availability of its Products for all users, VEJA reserves the right to limit the quantity of products that can be purchased by a single user.

2.2. We limit purchases on our site to individuals who are at least 18 years old. By accepting these GTCS, you declare and guarantee that you are at least 18 years old. VEJA cannot be held liable for any false declarations regarding the age of users.

2.3. We reserve the right to cancel or reject orders that appear to have been placed by professional resellers or distributors.

 

3. THE VEJA ORDER PROCESS

You can place an order on Vejastore either as a guest or by logging into your customer account.

 

3.1. Placing an order as a guest
Placing an order as a guest does not require creating an account. When selecting this option, the customer will be redirected to a form to fill in the necessary information to finalize and ship the order. If an existing customer account is identified with the same email address, logging into it will not be required.

The customer can finalize their order as a guest, whether it's their first order or not.
A confirmation email will be sent to the customer after the order is placed. The customer must create an account to track their order or request a return through the website.
All information regarding the guest order will be sent exclusively by email. It is important to keep these emails.
Without a customer account, the customer will not be able to view this information in a customer space on the site, including the order details, order tracking, and the option to create a return slip if needed.

 

3.2. Creating a customer account
You can purchase products available on Vejastore by logging in with your credentials or by using your Google account.

To create a new account on Vejastore, you must correctly fill out the registration form fields and choose a personal and confidential password. You must also confirm that you have read theprivacy policy(insert URL here) available on the website. Signing up for the newsletter is optional.

After registering on Vejastore, you will receive a confirmation email welcoming you and confirming your account creation, sent to the email address provided during registration.
You may delete your account at any time by following these steps :
My Account > “Personal Information” > “Delete my account”. Once the confirmation notification is received, any contractual relationship between you and VEJA — except for orders already placed before the deletion request — will be terminated, and your login credentials will be deleted.

 

3.3. The order process
The user selects the products of their choice and adds them to the cart via quick add or by clicking on "Add to cart."

At any time, you can :

  • Check the number of products in the cart, the price of the products, and the total amount by clicking on the "Cart" icon,
  • Complete your order by clicking the "CHECKOUT" button.

Two options are available to place an order : log into your customer account or continue as a guest.

If you already have a customer account :
You can log in after clicking "Complete my order" by entering your email address and password.

If you wish to place an order as a guest :
After entering your email address, click "Continue as a guest" to proceed.

You will then be prompted to provide the delivery address for the products and select a delivery method from those listed in Article 7.
After this step, you will choose a payment method from those listed in Article 5 and provide the billing address if it is different from the delivery address.
You can then click on "Complete and pay for my order." By placing your order, you automatically accept the GTCS.

At any time during these steps, your cart details will be displayed.

The sales contract between VEJA and you is formed upon confirmation of your order.

 

Between the time you proceed with payment and VEJA sends the "Order confirmed" email, VEJA reserves the right to decline the order in cases of :

  • Existing disputes between you and VEJA,
  • Partial or total non-payment of one or more previous orders,
  • Payment authorization refusal by banking institutions,
  • Stock availability issues,
  • Orders placed by resellers or professional distributors.

 

Once your order is ready to be shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email.

In the event of product unavailability after your order has been placed, only the price and shipping fees for the available products will be charged. VEJA will inform you via email as soon as possible about unavailable products, and the corresponding amount will be refunded via the same payment method used for the order.

 

4. PRICES

 

4.1. The prices of the displayed products depend on the delivery country selected by the "User."

4.2. Our prices are displayed inclusive of taxes (VAT) for orders destined for European Union countries and Norway. The tax amount varies from one country to another, particularly due to the application of different VAT rates. We are required to apply the VAT of the destination country, so the final price including VAT will be recalculated based on the delivery country.

For orders destined for countries outside the European Union (except Norway), prices are indicated excluding taxes. These orders may be subject to taxes and customs duties in the destination country.

4.3. As stipulated in points 4.3 and 4.4, you will not have to pay customs duties and taxes for orders destined for mainland France, European Union countries, and Norway. Taxes and customs duties may apply to any delivery address located in :

  • Any country outside the European Union (except Norway)
  • French overseas departments/regions and collectivities (DOM and COM)

The total amount you will have to pay is beyond our control. These fees must be paid by the parcel recipient. If you refuse the parcel due to additional customs fees charged upon receipt, VEJA reserves the right to charge the amount of these customs duties, up to 540 MXN.

4.4. Product prices do not include shipping costs, which are the responsibility of the user. Shipping fees are calculated once the final delivery address is entered and depend on the desired shipping option.

4.5. VEJA reserves the right to modify product prices and to adjust, limit, or terminate any special offer, promotion, or discount at any time.

4.6. VEJA applies the prices in effect as displayed on the website at the time of your order. We invite you to always check the price before placing your order.

 

5. PAYMENT METHODS

 

5.1. VEJA uses payment service providers to process transactions made via the website.

You can pay for your order using one of the following payment methods :

  • Carte bancaire : Visa, Mastercard, Union Pay, JCB, American Express, Carte Bancaire (Carte Bancaire is available for payments in France)
  •  PayPal
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • WeChat Pay
  • iDEAL (available for payments in euro)
  • AliPay
  • Twint (available for payments in France Switzerland)
  • OXXO (available for payments in Mexico)
  • EFTPOS (available for payments in Australia)
  • Afterpay / Clearpay (available for payments in Australia, New Zealand, Canada)
  • GrabPay (available for payments in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines)
  • Bancontact (available for payments in Belgium)
  • Multibanco (available for payments in Portugal)
  • Klarna (available for payments in France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, United States)

 

5.2. Payment must be made at the time of ordering.

5.3. PayPal’s 4-payment option is available for orders ranging between €30 and €2,000, subject to PayPal’s terms and conditions. In the event of full or partial cancellation/return of an order, you will be automatically refunded for the installments already paid to your bank account.

5.4. We use standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology to encrypt your payment data, such as your identity, address, and credit card details.

5.5. Payment with a Gift Card

A virtual gift card is available for purchase on the website. The gift card is non-refundable and can only be used for purchases on the VEJA store website. It is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of activation.

At the time of purchase, the customer can choose a predefined amount or specify the desired amount. The virtual gift card will then be sent by email to the customer or the recipient of their choice. The customer will also receive an order confirmation by email.

Payment with a Gift Card

The gift card can be used on the website by entering the code found in the confirmation email during payment. If the order amount exceeds the value of the gift card, the customer will need to pay the difference using another payment option. If the total order amount is less than the value of the gift card, the remaining balance can be used for a future purchase.

Once the full amount of the gift card has been used, it will be deactivated.

6. CANCELING AND MODIFYING AN ORDER

6.1. Once the order status indicates "Payment Accepted," you have up to four (4) hours to cancel your order. You can cancel it directly from the order confirmation page or from your customer account in the "My Orders" section. If the status of your order is different or if the four (4) hour period has passed, you will no longer be able to cancel your order.

6.2. Once the order cancellation has been processed by our services, please allow a minimum of five (5) business days to receive the refund, depending on the processing times of your bank. If we are only able to process part of your order, payment will be taken for the entire order, and upon shipping the goods, a refund will be issued for the unavailable items.

6.3. Once the order has been confirmed, it is no longer possible to modify it. If you wish to change the order contents, the payment method, or the delivery address, you can always cancel your order as explained in point 6.1, or return the products upon receipt in accordance with the provisions of Article 8. You can also place a new order on the same day to get the desired size or model.

 

7. PRICING AND DELIVERY

 

7.1. Delivery

Once payment is confirmed, we process and hand over your order to the carrier within an average timeframe of 24 to 48 business hours.

  • Orders placed on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday are processed on the following Monday.
  • Orders placed on a public holiday are processed on the next business day.

(Please note that delivery times and return processing may be extended by 72 business hours during sales or inventory periods.)

For pre-order products, the delivery time is generally longer. Delivery times are indicated in the product description on the website.

The available delivery methods are as follows and vary depending on your delivery country :

  • La Poste (Colissimo)
  • UPS
  • Mondial Relay

Once your order has been handed over to the carrier, you can track the shipment of your package at any time using the tracking number provided via email or through your customer account.

Once the order has been handed over to the carrier, the delivery of the products will be carried out according to the carrier's delivery conditions. You will receive the necessary shipping information via email to verify the delivery conditions as well as the expected delivery date or timeframe.

The delivery fees for the products and any applicable taxes and customs duties are your responsibility, as outlined above in sections 4.3 and 4.4.

7.2. Pricing

The applicable delivery fees are those mentioned on the site at the time of the order in the “Delivery” and “Returns” sections.

 

8. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL, RETURN, AND REFUND

 

8.1. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-18 of the Consumer Code, the Customer has a period of fourteen (14) days from the receipt of the Order to exercise their right of withdrawal with VEJA, without needing to provide a reason.

In the case of an order consisting of multiple products delivered separately, the period begins from the receipt of the last product.

The exercise of the right of withdrawal can be done either by following the steps outlined here : Return Policy, or by using and sending the downloadable withdrawal form below, by mail (VEJA - Customer Service, 146 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75010 Paris, France) or by email (service-clients@veja-store.com) :

The product(s) must be returned to the following address : VEJA CHEZ LOG’INS – Return Center – Distripôle PARISUD Building 1 – 1 rue de l’espace Schengen – 91250 Lieusaint within a maximum period of fourteen (14) days from the communication of your decision to exercise your right of withdrawal.

8.2. Additional Return Rights

Without prejudice to the legal right of withdrawal, and from the date of first presentation of the package, you have a period of twenty-eight (28) days to return any ordered product that does not meet your requirements.

You can request a return directly from your VEJA customer account by following the steps outlined here : Return Policy.

After this period, we do not accept returns of unwanted items. If you attempt to return, we may be obliged to return the item to you and request that you cover the shipping costs.

 

8.3. Return Conditions

All returned items must be sent back in new, unworn, and unwashed condition. They should be returned in their original packaging whenever possible.

Returned products that do not meet these conditions will be sent back to you at your expense.

Return costs are covered by VEJA if the initial delivery location is within the list of countries below* and under the following conditions :

  • In France for orders over €65
  • In Europe for orders over €80

If the delivery country is not on the aforementioned list or if the customer chooses a different return method than that proposed by VEJA, the return of the product(s) is at the customer’s expense and risk.

*List of countries eligible for free returns : Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland.

 

8.4. Refunds

Refunds can be issued :

  • To the credit card used for payment.
  • As a store credit (valid for one year, only on the site), if the payment was made with a store credit.

Provided that the return conditions are met, the processing time by our services is 5 to 10 business days from the receipt of the order in our warehouse. However, this time may be extended depending on your bank's processing time or if the return requires additional checks.

Please note that :

  • If the Order payment was made with store credit, the refund will be automatically issued as store credit. Store credits are valid for one year and cannot be refunded.
  • Exchanges are not possible. For a different size or model, we invite you to place a new order.
  • Products purchased on the Vejastore cannot be returned to a store.
  • For orders made via Multibanco, the refund is issued in the form of store credit. You must contact VEJA by email to request a bank transfer refund.

11. APPLICABLE LAW AND COMPETENT JURISDICTION

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) are governed and interpreted according to French law, without prejudice to the application of more protective provisions of the local law of the user. The competent court in the event of a dispute will be that of the defendant's place of residence or, at the request of the claimant, the place of actual delivery of the Product.

 

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the website (including but not limited to illustrations, photographs, images, texts, data, names, trademarks, and videos) is the exclusive property of VEJA, its contractors, or partners. This content is governed by copyright, trademark, foreign copyright laws, and other intellectual property rights.

Any reproduction of this content, in whole or in part, by any means, requires prior written consent from VEJA. You may not attach or download content from the website without VEJA's written consent.

 

13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

According to Article 1148 of the Civil Code, VEJA cannot be held liable and shall not be liable for any compensation concerning delivery delays and/or damages resulting from cases of force majeure, as defined by the jurisprudence of French courts.

The use of the website is on an "as-is" basis, and VEJA reserves the right to modify its content without prior notice.

However, we make every effort to ensure the accuracy, usability, and completeness of the website. Nevertheless, VEJA cannot be held liable for any malfunction due to maintenance work, technical failures, interruptions in the internet network, force majeure, actions of third parties, or any other circumstance, regardless of its nature.

Exclusions of warranty may not be permitted in certain jurisdictions; therefore, the above elements may not apply to you.

15. MODIFICATIONS TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

VEJA reserves the right to make modifications to the Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice if such changes are necessary to comply with new legal provisions, to adapt the Terms and Conditions to VEJA's sales procedures, or for technical reasons. The applicable Terms and Conditions are those in effect at the time the order is placed. Updated versions of the Terms and Conditions will be published progressively on the Vejastore.
