GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE SALES

 

Before you make any purchase from our website (https://www.veja-store.com/en_uk) (“Vejastore”), we advise to read these terms and conditions carefully.


1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION


1.1 These terms and conditions apply to every sell contract concluded between VEJA FAIR TRADE UK LTD, with headquarters located at the 8th Floor South, 11 Old Jewry, London, United Kingdom, EC2R 8DU, registered in England under the company number: 12188494 and the user, defined as a consumer in the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. This definition designates “an individual acting for purposes that are wholly or mainly outside that individual’s trade, business, craft or profession” based on the orders made using the
Vejastore.
This UK (United Kingdom) website only processes orders from clients that reside in the UK, Jersey, Guernesey, Ile de Man.

1.2 When you order products on the
Vejastore, you automatically agree to respect these terms and conditions, without any reservation or you are legally bound to these terms and conditions, and you agree to respect them. If you refuse, you will not be able to order from our Vejastore.



2. CONDITIONS FOR SHOPPING ON THE VEJASTORE


2.1 You can buy products from the
Vejastore only if you’re the final consumer of the products ordered. You would not be able to buy from the Vejastore if you are a reseller or a professional distributor.


2.2 To be able to shop on the
Vejastore, you must be at least 18 years and you must agree to the present terms and conditions. VEJA cannot be held responsible for any false declaration concerning the age of the users.


2.3 When you order from us, we have the right to cancel said order if it seems like it has been placed by resellers or professionals.

 

3. THE ORDER PROCESS

 

You can place an order on the Vejastore as a guest or by logging into your customer account.


3.1. Creating your customer’s account


You can order products on the
Vejastore with your login information once your account is created, or you can use your google or Apple information to create an account and therefore place an order.


To create a new account on the
Vejastore, you must fill the subscription form and chose a personal and confidential password. You also must confirm that you have read the privacy policy, available on the site and confirm your subscription. The subscription to the newsletter is optional.

Following your subscription on the
Vejastore, you will receive an email on the address used in the form, confirming the creation of your account, and welcoming you in the VEJA family.

At any given moment, you are free to delete your account following these steps :

  • My account
  • Account Details
  • Delete my account


When you receive the confirmation, any contractual relationship with the user (you) and VEJA – except for orders already placed before deleting your account – will be terminated and your account’s information will be deleted.


3.2 The order process

The user chooses the products and add them to the shopping by clicking on “add to cart”.

At any given moment, you can :

  • Verify the quantity and the prices in your shopping cart, as well as the total amount by clicking on “My cart”.
  • Continue shopping by clicking on the “Continue shopping” button
  • Finalize your order by clicking on the “Proceed to check out” button

Two options are available to place an order : log into your customer account or continue as guest.

If you already have a customer account : You will need to log in after clicking the "Complete my order" button by entering your email address and password.

If you do not have a customer account and wish to create one : You can create your account by clicking on the "Account" icon at the top right of your screen.

If you prefer to place an order as guest : After entering your email address, you can proceed with your purchase by clicking "CONTINUE AS GUEST."


You will then be invited to fill the delivery address of the products and to select a shipping method between those given in the article 7.

Once this step is completed, you will be asked to choose a payment method between those given in the article 5 and specify the billing address if different from the shipping address. You will be able to click on the “pay and place my order” button, only if you agree to these terms and conditions by ticking the box purposely placed at this step.

At any given moment, throughout all these steps, the detail of your cart is visible.

The contractual relationship between you and VEJA is concluded once you receive the confirmation of your order.

Between the moment you proceed to the payment of your order and the moment you receive the confirmation of said order via email : “Your VEJA order”, VEJA has the right to deny your order for these reasons :

  • You and VEJA have a legal case pending
  • You haven’t partially or not paid at all, your precedent orders
  • Denial by the banks
  • Stock problem


We will inform you via email once the order is ready for shipping.


4. PRICING


4.1 The prices on this UK website include all the VAT applicable, there won’t be any additional charges except if you choose a shipping method other the standard one. Such additional charges will be clearly shown during the checkout process and included in the “Order Total”.

4.2 The prices indicated on the
Vejastore do not include delivery costs which are payable by the User. The delivery fees are calculated once the final delivery address is entered and depend on the desired delivery option.

4.3 VEJA reserves the right to change the price of the Products and to modify, limit or terminate any special offer, promotion, or discount at any time.

4.4 VEJA applies the prices in effect as indicated on the website at the time of your order. You should always check the price before your order.


5. PAYMENT TERMS

5.1 VEJA uses payment services to manage the transactions made on the website.


You can pay using the following payment methods:

  • Credit Card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • Paypal
  • ApplePay
  • GooglePay
  • Klarna
  • Alipay


5.2 If you pay using a credit card or PayPal, you must pay the price once you order.

5.3 We may use a third-party payment services provider to process transactions made via the website. Payment in three instalments via Paypal is available on some orders, between £30 and £2000.

5.4. We use industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt potentially sensitive information such as your name, address and other critical information like your credit card details. If you encounter a problem or believe that your account or personal information has been compromised.

5.5. Payment with a Gift Card

A virtual gift card is available for purchase on the website. The gift card is non-refundable and can only be used for purchases on the VEJA store website. It is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of activation.

At the time of purchase, the customer can choose a predefined amount or specify the desired amount. The virtual gift card will then be sent by email to the customer or the recipient of their choice. The customer will also receive an order confirmation by email.

Payment with a Gift Card

The gift card can be used on the website by entering the code found in the confirmation email during payment. If the order amount exceeds the value of the gift card, the customer will need to pay the difference using another payment option. If the total order amount is less than the value of the gift card, the remaining balance can be used for a future purchase.

Once the full amount of the gift card has been used, it will be deactivated.

6. CANCEL AN ORDER


6.1. When your order status is indicated as “Payment accepted” you will have four (4) hours in which to cancel your order. You can cancel your order directly on the order confirmation page by going to “My orders” in your account. Where your order status is different or after the for (4) hours time limit has lapsed, you will be unable to cancel your order.

6.2. When you cancel your order, please allow up to five (5) business days after the cancellation is confirmed to receive a refund, depending on your bank. Where we can only fulfill an order in part, payment will be taken for the whole of the order and we will issue a refund for the unavailable items when the items are shipped.


7. PRICES AND DELIVERIES

7.1 Delivery

Once your payment has been confirmed, we process and deliver your order to the carrier within an average of 24 to 48 hours (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays) :

  • Orders made on the weekends are processed the following Monday
  • Orders made on public holiday are processed on the following working day


(Please note that delivery times and return delays can be extended up to 72 working hours during sales or inventories periods.)

For the products available for pre orders, the delivery can be longer. The details are indicated in the product’s description.

VEJA offers the following delivery option : DHL.

Once your order has been handed over to the carrier, you must add the delivery time. This time depends on the chosen transport solution and your delivery address.

You will be able to follow the progress of your parcel at any time thanks to the tracking number communicated after your order has been shipped.

8. YOUR RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

8.1 According to The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, as a consumer, you have a period of fourteen (14) days to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to justify your decision.


In the case of an order for several Products delivered separately, the period runs from the date of receipt of the last Product.

The products must be returned to VEJA within a maximum of fourteen (14) days from the communication of your decision to exercise your right of withdrawal. The returned Products must be accompanied by the completed return form and sent to the following address :

If the above conditions are met, VEJA will refund the total amount of the order including the delivery costs (except for additional costs if you have chosen a delivery method other than the standard delivery method offered by VEJA)

If VEJA does not receive the returned Products or proof of shipment of the Products within this period, the refund of the products will be deferred until the earlier of VEJA’s receipt of the Products or VEJA’s receipt of the proof of shipment of the Products.

The same method of payment as chosen at the time of your purchase will be used for the refund.

You may only return Products that are unused, in their original packaging and wrapping (including all accessories, labels, etc.) and undamaged.

8.3. VEJA may refuse to accept the return and send the Products back to you if the Products have been worn, used, returned without their original packaging, and are generally no longer saleable in their original condition.

In the event of such a refusal, you will be contacted by our Customer Service Department at the email address given at the time of ordering and we will return the product to you. You will then be responsible for the shipping costs and for collecting the Product.

Products bought on the VEJA website cannot be returned in the physical shops.

 

8.4 Reimbursement can be made :

  • On the bank card that was used to make the payment.
  • By credit note (valid for 1 year), if the payment was made with a credit note.

 

9. RETURN AND REFUND

Without prejudice to article 8, you have a period of twenty-eight (28) days from the date of delivery of the Products to the delivery address indicated to make your return, at your expense. If you are absent at the time of delivery, the period for returning Products that do not meet your requirements will begin to run from the date of first presentation of the parcel containing the Products. With the exception of Products purchased on sale or promotion. Please note that, it will not be possible to obtain an exchange, but you may obtain a refund or a voucher from VEJA.

You may return Products in accordance with this section provided that the Products are returned in ne, unworn and unwashed condition and in their original packaging.

Products bought on our VEJA website cannot be returned in a shop. You can make the return directly from your VEJA account by following the steps available on the
Vejastore at the following address: https://www.veja-store.com/en_uk/return-policy.

• The following conditions apply for returns made in the United Kingdom (England, Wales, North Ireland, Scotland) :
- For orders less than £90, the returns fees will be at your own expense.
- For orders of £90 or above, the return fees are offered.

• If you make a return from Jersey, Guernesey, Ile de Man, the returns fees will be totally at your own expense.
- For the returns where the fees are offered: please drop your parcel in a  DHL PARCEL SERVICEPOINT, find the closest one to you here:

- For the returns where the fees are at your own expense: please drop your parcel in the postal office of your choice

The processing time for a return after receipt in our warehouse is 5 working days. Provided that the return conditions are met :
- If you have requested a refund : it will be made within 14 days of VEJA receiving and processing the returned item.
- If you have requested a credit note : it will be valid for one year and is not refundable.

If you paid for the order with a credit note, the refund will be made in the form of a credit note and cannot be made to the credit card used to pay for the initial order.

12. APPLICABLE LAW AND COMPETENT COURT

 

These terms and conditions are governed and interpreted according to English law. The place of jurisdiction in the event of a dispute shall be the defendant’s place of residence or, at the plaintiff’s option, the place where the Product was actually delivered.

14. AMENDEMENTS

VEJA reserves the right to make changes to the terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice if these are necessary to comply with new legal provisions, to adapt the terms and conditions to VEJA’s sales procedures or for the technical reasons. The terms and conditions applicable at the time the order is placed shall apply. Updated versions of the GTC will be published on the
Vejastore.
