VEJA MONTMARTRE

In Montmartre, VEJA opens a raw, minimalist, and sober place. Inspired by São Paulo’s brutalist architecture of the ’70s, it combines wood and concrete.

For this store, VEJA’s will has remained the same: preserve the existing and only add what’s necessary. The VEJA studio and architect Hugo Haas have worked to preserve as many elements of this former premises as possible, previously occupied by the Spree concept store, loved by VEJA’s founders.

This new address combines innovation and ecological materials. Some walls have been coated with excavated earth (extracted from the Construction Sites of Greater Paris) to revalue it.
It was then mixed with pigments to be transformed into a wall covering. 

As for its other locations, VEJA reached out for Brazilian artist Kleber Matheus, a neon master. Made on the outskirts of Paris, this lighting and the entire shop are powered by ENERCOOP, a French renewable energy cooperative. This will be the brand's last store in Paris.
